Family Sponsorship
Every year at Christmas time we connect with local schools and sponsor families dealing with poverty through gifts of groceries and Christmas presents.
Support for Frontline Organizations
In 2022, we were able to financially support Loaves & Fishes and Wisteria Community Association. We also believe in the power of partnership and collaboration.
Youth Sponsorship
Every year at Christmas time, we provide gifts to the youth who live in NYSA housing.
Human Trafficking Prevention
Poverty and Human Trafficking are connected. We believe that part of prevention to raise awareness about what human trafficking is, signs to watch for, and connect people with resources if they need help.
The Sims Foundation has already grown so much since it’s beginning and it has been incredibly rewarding to see the help it has brought to many members of our community here on the Snuneymuxw territory. I’m thankful to be learning and growing under the leadership of a great team who truly cares about making a difference, creating special and meaningful moments for the families in need around us while empowering other non profit organizations in Nanaimo to join forces in cultivating positive change.
